I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in private practice in Seattle. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and my Certificate in Addiction Studies from Seattle University in 1991. I earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling from Seattle University in 1998. I have worked in private practice, and substance use disorder and co-occuring treatment centers for 33 years.

 

My early career emphasis was in substance use disorder treatment centers providing assessments, facilitating substance use groups, individual and family therapy, and specializing in the relapse prevention needs of my clientele.

 

After receiving my Master's Degree in 1998, I began treating individuals with co-occurring disorders to address the underlying mental health or trauma history influencing any substance use.

These experiences have given me a strong understanding of the interdependence of mental health conditions, substance use, trauma history and the long-term impact these have on individuals, partners, and family members.​

​

I currently see clientele with mental health or trauma history with or without any substance use history.
