Therapy Approach
My therapy approach blends the use of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, emotional freedom technique, and EMDR trauma therapy. Mindfulness is being present in the here and now. It also allows you to observe your body sensations, emotions, and thoughts without judgment or an automatic somatic activation. I strive to create a sacred and safe space for you to share your story with me and to be vulnerable in your therapy. Self-compassion, self-care as well as learning self-acceptance are key in my practice. I help clients achieve freedom from compulsions, addictive behaviors, and limiting beliefs.
Whether you experience anxiety, mood disorders, food compulsions, substance use, codependency, or love addiction, you deserve the skills to manage symptoms and build a peaceful, rewarding life. I strive to practice with a direct but compassionate, transparent, non-judgmental approach.
